Rebuilding oneself after taking a hard blow can be difficult. Then again, I think that first sentence might be misleadingly melodramatic.

Gregg broke up with me because of emptiness. He didn't feel the way about me he said he should have after five and a half months of dating. So that's that. And now I'm sad.
Well, I was a lot sadder last week when it happened. I think most of the tristesse has been flushed out of my system by now, and I have other things to worry about, like my Aristotle paper, and alcoholism.

-So I'm forlorn now. At my core, that's what one can call it, 'forlorn'. It has a nice ring to it. It's not sad, it's not miserable, it's not despondant, because right now I'm not really any of those things. I'm 'forlorn'.

Hmm...however, DA does not have a 'forlorn' emoticon, so I've decided to go with the next best emotion. It's a bit...tatterdemalion though.
